Mount Gambier harness racing to commence in new format

The Mount Gambier Harness Racing Club advises that due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Club and Harness Racing SA have been investigating alternative options to continue harness racing in Mount Gambier, in the very near future, without the participation of our counterparts from Western Victoria.

It has been proposed to conduct race meetings in Mount Gambier, on a fortnightly basis, with 3 or 4 races in Mount Gambier and the balance of the meeting (3 – 4 races) being held in Port Pirie on the same day.   Racing is likely to be held on Tuesdays, and will commence as soon as sufficient horse numbers in the region are ready to go.

The Club is very appreciative of the support of HRSA to enable this concept of racing to commence.

It would be appreciated if you are able to advise the Club asap of the number and approximate time your horses would be available to race.

Further information will be provided at the Club’s AGM on Tuesday 18 August 2020 at 7.30 pm at the A & H Committee Room.
